A Message from the Founder and CEO

At Frontline Aerospace, we are driven by a simple but powerful belief: the future is not something we wait for — it is something we build.

Our mission is to create breakthrough aerospace technologies that are financially compelling, environmentally responsible, and beneficial to society. We believe great engineering should serve people, expand opportunity, improve efficiency, and leave a stronger legacy for future generations.

That belief is deeply personal to me. I have been inspired throughout my life by the remarkable aviation legacy of my family beginning with my two grandfathers. K.D. Wood helped pioneer aeronautical engineering education at Purdue University and the University of Colorado Boulder. Schuyler Kleinhans spent four decades at Douglas Aircraft, contributing to 17 aircraft designs that were built, including aircraft that helped win World War II. My father, Dr. Robert M. Wood, dedicated 43 years as a rocket scientist at Douglas, McDonnell Douglas, and Boeing. Their example shaped my ambition, discipline, and commitment to meaningful innovation.

SkyFan™ is the result of that legacy — and of many years of work in aircraft configuration, propulsion efficiency, drag reduction, and practical engineering.

SkyFan™ is a clean-sheet super-midsize business jet concept designed to deliver a step-change in fuel economy, range, safety, noise reduction, and landing-zone flexibility. Its ducted fan propulsion, advanced aerodynamic configuration, high thrust-to-weight ratio, short takeoff and landing capability, and PanDow™ panoramic electronic window system represent a bold new direction in business aircraft design.

We are grateful for the aircraft industry partners, vendors, engineers, and advisors who have shared our vision and helped move SkyFan™ from concept toward reality.

Now we invite others to join us on the journey to build, fly, and prove this revolutionary aircraft — what we call Fancraft.

The opportunity before us is significant: to help create a new class of business aircraft that is more efficient, more flexible, and more useful to the people and organizations it serves.
